Hagen Lawn and Landscape LLC dba The Mustard Seed is looking to fill thirty-three (33) temporary, full-time Groundskeepers for seasonal positions for April 1, 2025 to December 1, 2025. Worksite address: 10000 Great Plains Blvd, Chaska, MN 55318 and properties throughout Scott, Hennepin and Carver counties in MN. Job Duties: Planting trees and shrubs, applying mulch. Installation of mortarless retaining walls and patios. Digging holes, laying sod, raking, installing edging, wheelbarrowing materials. May drive company vehicles. Requirements: No education, training or experience required. Special Requirements: Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for up to 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, snow, heat, and rain. Some OT and weekends required when necessary. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Terms and conditions of employment: $21.30/hr - $23.96/hr, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-5:00PM. Overtime available at $31.95 - $35.94 per hour. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions. Some weekends may be required. A single work week will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid biweekly on Thursday. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers will travel from the worksite address to commercial and private properties throughout Scott, Carver, and Hennepin counties to perform landscaping services. Workers will be transported to daily worksite to client properties and will be transported back to the worksite at the end of the work day. The employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and no others without written consent from worker. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable are as follows: Optional housing is available. Rent and utilities may be deducted from paycheck if elected. Pursuant Minnesota's earned sick and safe time (ESST) law, employer will provide each worker with one hour of ESST for every 30 hours worked, with the ability to accumulate at least 48 hours per year until an 80-hour maximum ESST accrual is reached. If needed, employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities, employer will assist in arranging optional worker-paid lodging for hired foreign and non-local U.S. workers. Employer will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities based on number of occupants for workers who voluntarily elect to live in employer-offered housing, up to $110 per week. Workers may elect to pay housing-related expenses directly to facility owner/operator in lieu of a payroll deduction. Optional SIMPLE IRA available for workers who have made at least $5000 in the previous calendar year and be expected to make at least $5,000 in the upcoming year. If voluntarily elected by worker, costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck. The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will pr vide or pay for worker s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
