University of Virginia Assistant Professor of Politics in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Department of Politics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position for a scholar who studies Security, Political Economy, and/or International Organizations. The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of roughly 35 tenure line faculty members and a PhD program with students across all of the discipline's subfields.

Application review will begin September 30, 2024 and the position will remain open until filled. The appointment begins with the fall semester of 2025. Applicants must have received their PhD by time of appointment.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in political science by the time of the appointment. Candidates should have an active research agenda, a strong interest in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and a willingness to contribute to the scholarly life of the Department of Politics.
