University of Virginia Assistant or Associate Professor, Transplant/Cystic Fibrosis Pulmonologist in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia is seeking candiates for a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor Level, with subspecialty focus on adult lung transplant/cystic fibrosis to join our program. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications.

The successful candidate will participate in our lung transplant/cystic fibrosis practice and have completed a lung transplant fellowship program or have a strong background in clinical pulmonology and have experience caring for patients with chronic complex respiratory disorders, such as cystic fibrosis. Additionally, candidate must have experience in the management of lung transplant patients. Experience in cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease management, and bronchiectasis is desired. As an integral part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students.

The successful candidate will pass a criminal background check and pre-employment health/drug screening.

Candiates must have a MD or equivalent, be board-certifiedor board-eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine by appointment date. We are looking for a highly collaborative team member who has expereince in the management of lung transplant patients, interstitial lung disease management, and cystic fibrosis.
