Robert Half US - Temporary Worker in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are in the search for a dedicated Commercial Counsel to join our team in the financial services industry based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is crucial in reviewing and negotiating complex software as a service (SAAS) Professional Services agreements and marketing agreements. The Commercial Counsel will also be expected to swiftly comprehend the technical and strategic requirements of projects, and exhibit strong legal risk assessment in practical real-world terms. This is a short-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and negotiating complex SAAS Professional Services agreements and marketing agreements

• Engaging with business owners to understand the technical and strategic requirements of a project

• Swiftly comprehending and adapting to the technical and strategic requirements of projects

• Assessing legal risk in practical real-world terms and making informed decisions

• Familiarizing and being comfortable with technology solutions to manage workload and client communication, including JIRA, Ironclad, and Slack

• Utilizing communication and negotiation skills to effectively bring deals to a favorable close

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements

• Ensuring the protection of data privacy and information security in all operations

• Applying strategic thinking in all legal and business judgments. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Law required, Law School graduates preferred.

• Proven experience in the Financial Services industry.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.

• Proficiency in using JIRA and Slack for project management and team collaboration.

• Experience in using SaaS and other technology solutions in a legal context.

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.

• Experience in providing legal counsel and advice.

• Ability to prepare and review ad hoc reports as required.

• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with legal risks and information security in the financial services industry.

• Ability to manage deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.

• Experience in onboarding new clients and employees.

• Proficiency in marketing and strategic thinking within a legal context.

• Demonstrated ability to work with third party entities.
