Job Description:

This job is responsible for resolving day-to-day complex problems, researching, and executing on complex transactions for multiple sites or larger business unit(s). Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, processes, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Line of Business Job Description:

The Global Credit, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Onboarding Organization is a central control function which governs, facilitates, and oversees the end-to-end AML program across all Global Banking & Global Markets, Consumer & Small Business. The responsibilities are executed across 38 jurisdictions across the globe and manage AML risks by implementing and executing processes and controls.

The Global Banking & Global Markets Anti-Money Laundering High Risk Detection team sits under the Global Credit, AML & Onboarding Operations (GCAOO) organization, and is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of our highest risk clients. The role is working within High-Risk Detection Controls, Reporting & Testing team who manage our Portfolio Risk and play a critical role in managing the risk of our High-Risk Detection Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment using subject matter expertise

  • Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives

  • Advises as a technical expert in assigned area by providing work direction, guidance, and training to employees and business partners on new complex initiatives

  • Builds relationships with business partners across various Lines of Business

  • Manages and defines responsibilities and accountabilities for key program and projects

  • Work alongside our team to manage our portfolio of Controls

  • Partner with our functional leads to run governance and oversight for our Audit Issues, Exams, Corporate Audit to ensure we fulfil requirements to the utmost level

  • Assist in the portfolio management of the multiple tests which are executed on HRD

  • Partnering with the AML Audit and Exam team to ensure we have the right oversight for all programs underway including ensuring all communications are managed centrally

  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on status and ongoing planning for up-and-coming Exams

  • Internally testing the team’s processes to identify opportunities for improvement and working with the leaders on planning and implementation for suggested changes including Designing, measuring, Monitoring, and reporting controls

  • Responsible for operationalizing policies and standards

  • Will have exposure to the Regulatory space across multiple lines of business, understanding the requirements of both regulatory framework and the business

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in Business Controls and/or Audit and Exam Management

  • Global Regulatory experience with advantage of having worked in AML space

  • Experience in remediating audit and regulatory issues

  • Working experience in global locations and with global teams

  • Experience dealing with global banking, global markets, or consumer and small business processes and products

  • Ability to interpret and build practical method for delivery on new Laws Rules and Regulations

  • Strong presence and excellent communication skills

  • Advanced/Expert PowerPoint Skills to build and present data in an informative, structured, and smart format

  • Able to multitask at speed while delivering quality output

Desired Qualifications :

  • Working knowledge of Global Banking, Global Markets, Consumer and Small Business products and/or Regulation based Ops processes

  • Process improvement and six-sigma and/or data analysis experience with knowledge of using associated tooling

  • Ideally will have covered functions like Transactional monitoring, Enhanced Due Diligence, Screening (Sanctions, PEP and Adverse media)
