Job Description

One of our most reputable design engineering clients is currently searching for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to take on a leadership role in their Charlotte office. As an Electrical Engineer IV, you will interact with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout (utilizing CAD/BIM); calculations (utilizing appropriate software); and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external). This role will be primarily focused in the mission critical space and you will be working on data center projects throughout the entire US.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Creating basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer

• Establishing basic system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer

• Participating in the QA/QC process for your work and the work of others as assigned

• Assisting senior engineers and/or senior designers in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, staffing requirements, and project budgets

• Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports

• Supporting engineering senior staff in processing RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

This is a high-level position and the opportunity offers ample opportunity for growth. We are looking for Electrical Engineers with 7-10 years minimum of hands on industry experience and having an active PE is a requirement for the role.

Skills and Requirements

• 7-10 years of hands on Electrical Engineering experience

• Active PE Certification

• Experience working in Revit

• Industry experience - Experience working in the mission critical / data center space (highly preferred)

• SKM experience null
