Job Description

The Sr Contract Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the entire contract lifecycle, from initial negotiation through approval, renewal, and retention. This position focuses on establishing efficient contract management processes, developing standardized templates, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Contract Administrator collaborates closely with legal, controlling, and sales teams to mitigate risks and optimize contract terms. Additionally, this role involves implementing contract lifecycle management tools to enhance visibility and efficiency in managing contracts. By ensuring optimal contract terms and efficient contract management, the Contract Administrator contributes to the company's objectives of revenue and profitability growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of contract law and corporate regulations.

By taking on the role of Sr Contract Administrator, you will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient and compliant management of our company's contracts. Your expertise and collaborative approach will help optimize our contract terms, mitigate risks, and enhance overall contract visibility and efficiency. In doing so, you will directly contribute to our objectives of revenue and profitability growth, ensuring our contracts support and enhance our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain efficient contract management processes to streamline negotiations, approvals, and renewals, ensuring all contracts are handled promptly and accurately.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance contract terms that align with the company's revenue and profitability goals, ensuring contracts contribute positively to the financial objectives.

  • Develop standardized contract templates and terms, ensuring they comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to reduce variability and risk.

  • Partner with legal, controlling, and sales teams to mitigate risks and optimize contract terms and conditions, fostering a collaborative approach to contract management.

  • Implement contract lifecycle management tools and systems to ensure proper retention, enhance visibility, and improve efficiency in managing contracts.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all contract terms and conditions, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular audits of contracts and contract management processes to identify and address areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously refine and improve contract management practices.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams on contract management policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Assist in the resolution of any contract-related disputes or issues that may arise, working closely with relevant departments to find effective solutions.

  • The role demands a high level of interaction with various departments, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • This position typically works in an office setting but may require occasional travel to meet with stakeholders or attend training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum of five years experience as a Contracts Administrator or Contracts Paralegal

  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in a corporate environment.

  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams with strong understanding of the sales process and acts as the voice of the business to make commercial decisions when negotiating contracts with customers.

  • Strong collaboration skills when interacting with legal and senior management.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.

  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or a related field (Paralegal Degree)

  • Advanced degree in Contract Management or a related discipline is a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience in contract management, negotiation, and administration, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrated experience with various types of contracts, including sales, procurement, service, and licensing agreements.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Icertis).

  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and procurement.
