Job Summary

The Opportunity

ESFM is looking for a dynamic, effective and experienced Sr. Communications Specialist with a passion for telling a compelling brand story internally and online. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, the Sr. Communications Specialist is a key contributor to ESFM’s Communications team owning the execution of internal communication strategies and tactics that engage ESFM associates and empower them to do their best work and make a positive difference for their teammates, their clients and their communities.

Additionally, this person will be able to exercise creativity and innovation working as a key contributor to ESFM’s online brand representation and story presentation on social media, our website, intranet, video campaigns and other digital platforms. This position is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, working in-office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes communication programs and initiatives that enhance associate understanding, engagement and active participation in company culture including organizational town halls and webinars, materials and messaging to cascade through multiple management levels and ESFM’s employee engagement app

  • Lead regular communication and storytelling campaigns that support company diversity, equity and inclusion and corporate social responsibility goals

  • Oversee content management and functionality of ESFM’s intranet

  • Manage email campaigns, company newsletters and distribution lists

  • Act as community manager for internal and social channels: review, manage and respond to comments; engage with industry pages

  • Lead our employee advocacy program for social media, helping to position our executives and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) as industry thought leaders with training support and ready-made content while tracking content reach and engagement

  • Supports in managing our integrated communications content calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mass Communications, Journalism or Marketing

  • 3+ years managing website content optimization and working for a B2B organization; experience working for a facilities management, corporate real estate company preferred

  • Presentation of online portfolio demonstrating abilities and past projects required

  • Strong technical aptitude, current on communication measuring, reporting and social media trends

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, attention to detail

  • Works proactively, with integrity and a positive mindset

  • Values relationships and actively works to maintain trust in relationships

  • Proficiency and experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, SharePoint

  • Proficiency and experience with a social media management platform and analytics reporting

  • Hospitality mindset

  • Strong proofreading abilities including attention to detail regarding messaging, audience and tone
