Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The primary role will be to oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. This role will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate representation of the company's financial status
• Perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Conduct month-end and year-end closes to provide accurate financial data for business operations and strategy
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Use software tools such as NetSuite and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Record journal entries for income and expenses, and ensure that all entries are accurate and in line with accounting regulations
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents and ledgers
• Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes
• Work closely with the team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading detail oriented publications. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
• Should have hands-on experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Must have a firm understanding of General Ledger management
• Ability to perform Journal Entries accurately is essential
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary
• NetSuite expertise is highly desirable
• QuickBooks proficiency is a must
