Wells Fargo Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer Technology Major Incident Lead in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

In this role as the Technology Major Incident Lead, you will drive resolution of incidents with reputational, regulatory, compliance, customer, or business impact that require an immediate coordinated response and timely communications. You will lead the resolution of complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services. You will partner with Incident Communicator, Platform, and Business teams in driving resolution activities. You will make an impact by identifying opportunities for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans and contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks. You will build and maintain relationships with business and technology partners to support rapid Major Incident recovery and present recommendations for resolving complex technical issues. You will exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards and be an internal consultant for the use of tools and processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence platform support solutions for highly complex business and technical needs or technology initiatives

  • Lead highly complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams and lead teams to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Translate advanced technology experience, in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

  • Provide training and mentoring to less experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of application production support experience managing Technology command centers or major incident management

  • 3+ years complex issue resolution experience

  • 2+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working with ServiceNow or equivalent

  • Experience working with Microsoft Teams or equivalent

  • Experience with Window, Linux Server OS, Network & routing topology, & IT Support fundamentals

  • Knowledge of physical and virtual server technology fundamentals

  • Experience working with Cloud technologies

  • Experience working in an Agile team environment

Job Expectations:

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • Open to work flexible hours for on call support in a 24x7 command center environment

  • Work schedule is 4x10 working 7am - 6pm Sunday - Wednesday or 7am - 6pm Wednesday - Saturday
