Novant Health Regional Resource Team- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists in Charlotte, North Carolina

Overview

Professional Nursing Resource Team (PNRT) Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists (CIS) are responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. The PNRT CIS is part of a market based nursing resource team that is assigned to varying cath lab units to ensure that patient care needs are met within the assigned facility. The CIS possess the skills, competency and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in all locations within a defined market: Greater Charlotte (GCM) or Greater Winston-Salem (GWSM). This group shall be known as the Regional Resource Team - CIS.

PNRT CIS are experienced and proficient within their specialty. PNRT CIS demonstrate independence, rule consciousness, social boldness, and change readiness. They exhibit a strong commitment to professional nursing standards and inter-professional collaboration. They are early adopters of Novant Health systems, technology, and workflows. They serve as reliable consultants, mentors, and share lessons across teams to advance the practice of nursing throughout Novant Health. The PNRT CIS provides care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from one of the following Accredited Education Programs required: • Registered Nurse (RN) OR • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS), required.

Experience: 1 Year RN or RCIS with one (1) year of Cath/EP Lab experience, required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse (RN)-North Carolina Board of Nursing License, OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)-graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program. If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not a RN, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), required.

Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
