Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Engineer (QA/QE) to join our Production Support Team. This role is pivotal as we prepare for a significant project involving the re-writing of a legacy application. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, conducting extensive manual testing, and eventually transitioning into automated testing using JavaScript and the Playwright framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Execute manual testing to ensure the quality and functionality of our applications.

• Collaborate with the development team to understand the scope of the project and testing requirements.

• Transition from manual testing to automated testing as the project progresses.

• Write automated tests using JavaScript and the Playwright framework.

• Ensure that automated tests are integrated into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

• Participate in User Story writing and business requirements gathering.

• Report and track defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.

  Requirements

• Proven experience in manual testing, with the ability to create and execute detailed test plans.

• Familiarity with automated testing, preferably with experience in writing tests as code.

• Basic knowledge of coding, with a preference for candidates familiar with JavaScript.

• Experience with the Playwright framework is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with User Story writing and business requirements gathering is highly desirable.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

• Familiarity with other testing frameworks and tools.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
