Robert Half Purchaser in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are on the lookout for a skilled Purchaser to join our healthcare team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing procurement, inventory, and logistics, working closely with vendors, and ensuring the smooth distribution of products. You will also be tasked with maintaining supply costs through efficient vendor contract management and ensuring the compliance of all supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage team operations by implementing best practices for procurement, inventory, and logistics management.

• Implement and maintain an organizational procurement system that employs centralized inventory principles.

• Establish and manage relationships with vendors to ensure compliance and stabilize product volume.

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary supplies and services.

• Create strategic plans with managers across various departments and locations to implement and manage an automated procurement system.

• Manage the flow of all incoming and outgoing supplies, including overseeing applicable freight contracts.

• Work closely with the Compliance Director to ensure that all supplies and equipment meet mandated standards.

• Maintain supply budget transparency with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure supplies are expensed appropriately and within budgetary expectations.

• Utilize skills in Buying Processes, Purchasing Department, Purchasing Functions, Purchasing Management, Health Care, and Logistics to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.

• Ensure predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance. Requirements • Proven experience in the Purchasing Department of a Healthcare or Social Assistance setting.

• Proficient in all aspects of Buying Processes and Purchasing Functions.

• Demonstrable expertise in Purchasing Management.

• Familiarity with Health Care industry standards and practices.

• Understanding of Logistics related to medical supplies and equipment.

• Experience with Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) within a healthcare environment.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

• Proficiency in using purchasing and inventory management software.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.

• Knowledge of ethical and legal aspects of procurement in the healthcare sector.

• Ability to analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to procurement processes.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of healthcare procurement.
