Honeywell Principal Attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina

As a Principal Attorney at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice and support to senior management and business leaders. You will be working within the Productivity Solutions and Services business unit which has a wide variety of hardware, software and services offerings which we provide to customers across the world, ranging from large retailers to global airline companies. We are at the cutting of technology and we work to give our customers tools and solutions to make them more productive and efficient in their work.

You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating complex contracts and agreements, managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise in corporate law, contracts, and regulatory compliance will be instrumental in protecting the company's interests and mitigating risks.

You will report directly to our General Counsel and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Overall, as a Principal Attorney your contributions will ensure that Honeywell operates ethically, legally, and with integrity, allowing the company to continue its mission of creating innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for people worldwide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a wide range of legal matters

  • Work with the channel team on distributor and partner contracting, and overall channel management

  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders with respect to new product offerings

  • Assist the marketing team with legal reviews of marketing materials

  • Draft and negotiate agreements with customers

  • Interpret new laws and regulations and their impacts on the business.

  • Assist with strategic partnerships and other cooperations

    YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)

  • 6+ years of experience practicing law

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience in working with a channel program (including, distributor/partner agreements, etc)

  • Experience with software/SaaS

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
