Robert Half Office Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our organization, focusing on accounts receivable/billing, accounts payable, bookkeeping, banking, purchasing, human resources/payroll, and office administration. The successful candidate will also be responsible for job/project costing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable and billing process.

• Handle accounts payable responsibilities ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Take charge of the bookkeeping function, including banking activities.

• Handle all purchasing activities, including managing certificates of insurance.

• Oversee human resources and payroll functions, ensuring all activities are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.

• Manage all aspects of office administration, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

• Responsible for job/project costing, ensuring all costs are accurately recorded and reported.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and other relevant tasks.

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting and bookkeeping functions.

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and close activities.

• Engage in purchasing activities and manage job costs. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an office management role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• Experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Knowledge in bank reconciliations and bookkeeping

• Competence in data entry and month end close procedures

• Skills in payroll processing and job costing

• Familiarity with purchasing activities and billing procedures

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred
