Sharp Electronics Corporation Logistics Supervisor in Charlotte, North Carolina
Overview
As a Logistics Supervisor at Sharp Business Systems, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating logistical operations within our branch. Whether managing set-up, delivery, or warehousing functions, your focus will be on maintaining high standards of customer service both internally and externally. This role involves supporting purchasing, inventory transfers, inventory control maintenance, and report generation in our system. Duties include communicating on backorders and material ETAs, ensuring accurate documentation, training teams, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Supervising a team of logistics operations employees, ensuring efficient operations.
Assisting in timely and accurate purchasing and receiving of equipment, parts, and supplies.
Overseeing inventory control, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed assets.
Ensuring job orders are communicated promptly and accurately to internal and external clients.
Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures in accordance with company policies.
Managing and scheduling coverage for warehouse, set-up, and delivery operations.
Providing input on inventory management and coordination to team and branch/region management.
Maintaining reporting requirements such as order workflow statuses and inventory counts.
Upholding high levels of internal and external customer service.
Updating vendor and material information as per policy and communicating with the master data team.
Assisting in facility maintenance and coordinating branch office repairs.
Tracking and recording returned/damaged goods for credit accurately.
Leading and motivating the warehouse operations team through training and coaching.
Cross-training with logistics managers to provide support across various functions.
Assisting with deliveries, installations, and equipment movements as required.
Managing daily trash and recycling responsibilities and other assigned duties or projects.
Qualifications
Must Have:
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Five to seven (5-7) years of previous warehouse experience, preferably with at least 3 years experience supervising non-exempt warehouse employees
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in supply chain operations at a distribution center or similar.
Experience with material replenishment logic.
Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently.
Physical fitness to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing and walking.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and their application in warehouse management.
Familiarity with proper methods of stacking, storing, lifting, and loading parts and supplies.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record, and ability to drive a 15-foot box truck.
Forklift certification and ability to train others.
Proficiency with computers, including SAP for inventory management and report generation.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, lift gates, and RF barcode scanners.
Ability to travel to satellite offices and occasional overnight stays.
Would Be Ideal to Have:
College degree preferred.
Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory experience.
Experience training others in the safe use of warehouse equipment.
SAP experience is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $60,300-$86,240. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
