Works closely with Senior leaders for the end-to-end delivery of Finance, Risk and Regulatory data for reporting. Organizes, plans, and manages the on-going management and delivery of data assets or solutions aligned to those same business units and functional areas. May manage a team, either as a direct manager of resources, or as a project or delivery leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for ensuring the alignment to a data strategy and roadmap based on objectives and priorities for and aligned business team.

  2. Partner with the business to deliver data solutions to meet business requirements, coordinating across technology service providers as needed.

  3. Ensure the implementation and adherence to data governance, data architecture, cyber security, and other technology standards across applications within the portfolio.

  4. Responsible for the driving or supporting the successful closure of data and analytics audit issues, regulatory issues self-identified issues and other data deficiencies.

  5. Ensure the alignment with business units or functional areas, support of innovation and driving towards to the target-state data technologies.

  6. May be responsible for managing a data team, including the data engineers, data analysts, and change management resources, including full-time and contract resources in a geographically dispersed environment.

  7. Responsible for the leading or supporting the successful management of projects and budgets and ensuring identified priorities are delivered within a defined timeframe.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree and six years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and experience

  2. Demonstrated experience driving data execution, including a combination of the following: data engineering, software delivery, business intelligence and reporting, and/or master and reference data management

  3. Demonstrated experience in project management and managing against a defined budget

  4. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgement in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities

  5. Banking or financial services experience

  6. Demonstrated understanding and delivery of regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment on the cloud

  7. Experience in managing a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocations according to predefined budgets, for full-time and contract resources across US and non-US locations

  8. Ability to understand and deliver business units or functional area priorities against defined and timelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with migration of On Premise Data Solutions to Cloud

  2. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and eight years of experience managing complex IT projects

  3. Functional and technical knowledge of data architecture, solution architecture, analytics, client data capabilities

  4. Skills demonstrated in data engineering, business intelligence and report delivery, data transformation, and regulatory program delivery

  5. Skills demonstrated in risk management

  6. Experience in solution designs based upon business requirements

  7. Well-versed in managing distributed teams in geographically dispersed locations

  8. Talend and/or SnowFlake experience
