Compensation: $120-150k + 20%

Work Arrangement: Full-time, permanent/direct hire

Schedule: Full-Time Onsite

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee all financial operations for a rapidly growing Services and Installation company. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, optimizing financial processes, and driving strategic financial decisions to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting or hold a CPA, with experience in managing the financial functions of a construction or project-driven business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial controls to optimize company performance.

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on day-to-day operations and career development.

  • Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial compliance.

  • Coordinate external audits, working closely with auditors to provide necessary information and ensure smooth audits.

  • Work collaboratively with project management teams to monitor job costing, percentage of completion, and project profitability.

  • Assist in developing and managing the company’s financial strategies, including capital planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements, including sales tax, payroll tax, and construction-specific tax filings.

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support key business decisions, such as capital investments and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA required.

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar leadership role.

  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) preferred.

  • Experience in the construction or installation industry is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, percentage of completion, and revenue recognition.

  • Proficient in accounting software and systems; experience with [construction-specific software] preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;

  • CPA preferred

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Management or similar leadership role.

  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) preferred.

  • Experience in the construction or installation industry is highly desirable.

  • ERP experience preferred
