Honeywell Chief Technology Officer, Sensing Solutions in Charlotte, North Carolina

As a CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, HSS here at Honeywell, you will lead and direct all technology activities for the business unit to drive innovation and deliver products, lead and direct technologies and solutions that meet customer innovation needs, and lead globally distributed design centers to differentiate Honeywell’s offering.

You will report directly to our Industrial Automation CTO and you’ll work out of our Dallas/Richardson, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage global design / technology centres to drive innovation, execution and quality.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to enhance products and services. Define and maintain a technology roadmap, identifying key milestones and initiatives.

  • Lead transformation efforts relative to New Product Development (NPD)

  • Manage the technology budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources

  • Oversee research and development activities, ensuring the effective allocation of resources to support product development and innovation projects.

  • Global customer interaction and solutioning

  • Build high functioning business relationships across Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations. Interface with technical managers, product line engineers and the integrated supply chain as well as support functions.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Minimum 15 years of engineering experience

  • Minimum 5 years of leading New Product Introduction initiatives

  • Minimum 5 years of people management

  • Sensor/monitoring equipment experience

  • Advanced engineering or business degree

  • Experience in Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Pharmaceutical markets

  • Extensive leadership experience preferably in an international, multi-site and multicultural business environment

  • Powerful executive communication skills

  • Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer's needs

  • Strategic thinking and effective management implementation on complex projects

  • Strong evidence of change management expertise
