Description We are in need of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role centers around maintaining and managing our accounts payable department, in particular, the legal billing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing invoices, determining payable and non-payable items, and utilizing pivot tables in Excel. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action according to the status of accounts

• Review invoices from law firms and professional services organizations to determine payable and non-payable items

• Utilize pivot tables in Excel and the LEDES system in managing accounts payable

• Familiarize and adhere to the legal billing process

• Ensure proper account coding and accrual accounting practices are followed

• Utilize various accounting software systems in performing accounting functions

• Conduct auditing of accounts payable as needed

• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Capability to handle diverse Accounting Functions is desired.

• Skills in Accounts Payable (AP) are mandatory.

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is necessary.

• Auditing skills are beneficial.

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) is preferred.

• Experience in Legal Billing is a plus.

• Ability to use Pivot Table is appreciated.
