Job Description

Given the importance of Asset Based Finance (ABF) as a lead anchor product in winning key ancillary opportunities in capital markets, we have created a new role to lead the execution of our ABF Leveraged Finance strategy and drive aspirational growth. Reporting to the head of ABF sales and origination, the ABF Leveraged Finance leader will lead and drive a clinical and focused execution of our ABF Leveraged Finance strategy and fully embed this as part of our origination strategy across ABF. The incumbent will be an integral part of the ABF leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the execution of the ABF Leveraged Finance strategy and meet established goals, milestones, and growth targets.

  • Drive a clinical action-oriented origination to deal execution process anchored in strong internal partnerships within ABF and across key partners in WCIB, ICG, and Credit Risk Management.

  • Be the primary ABF product partner for the Private Capital & Global Asset Manager client coverage group in collaboration with the ABF leadership team and the regional/vertical Business Development Officers.

  • Lead the formalization, launch, and management for the ABF Private Credit initiative for the middle market segment in collaboration with the ABF leadership team and the Business Development Officers.

  • Partner closely with the WCF leadership team in driving the execution of our holistic working capital finance platform model that drives WCF growth from a client’s perspective.

  • Mentor junior talent to deepen our bench strength.

Qualifications

  • 15-20 years of experience in asset based lending with strong leveraged finance and syndications experience.

  • Deep knowledge, experience, and connections in the financial sponsors space, particularly with the tier one sponsors.

  • Proven track record of driving a clinical sales strategy and deal execution process grounded in strong risk management principles and achieving aspirational growth targets.

  • Leads and executes with discipline and precision in driving intended outcomes.

  • Strong client-facing experience at the C-suite level and down in growing accounts and deepening relationships.

  • Highly experienced in building strong internal and cross-functional partnerships. Teamwork and collaboration is a core part of the individual’s DNA.

  • Ability to thrive and stay grounded in a constant changing environment and being an agent for change where change is required.

  • Experience in other working capital solutions a plus.

  • Ability to travel as required.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $188,530.00 - $221,800.00 - $243,980.00
