Summary: We are seeking a cybersecurity solutions architect to help some of the largest companies, handling the most sensitive data, better protect their customers and data. The successful candidate has considerable expertise in cybersecurity threat analysis and modeling, intrusion detection and prevention, and incident response (including proactive and reactive measures to interfere with attackers, such as honeypots and tarpits). Experience with MITRE ATT&CK and other threat modeling frameworks, as well as experience evaluating systems and policies against standards such as NIST 800-53r5, PCI-DSS, OWASP Top 10, and DoD 5200.01 are a must. Expertise in CIAM ecosystems, such as OpenID Connect, is ideal.

The ever-evolving tactics of threat actors require you to think quickly on your feet, with proven experience in understanding the techniques, tools, and motivations of threat actors and devising countermeasures. As this is a client-facing consulting position, you must have experience presenting your proposals and intelligence across organizational levels using the language best suited for a given client vertical. Experience in the financial services market is ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate client systems, processes, and policies for application security against industry security standards.

  • Model threats against enterprises, specifically for Internet-exposed applications, and propose countermeasures to those threats.

  • Collect intelligence on the overall cyber threat landscape and the landscape specific to clients and construct reports summarizing these findings.

  • Devise and update standardized proprietary evaluation frameworks using industry standards and threat intelligence to ensure they remain market-competitive and accurate.

  • Deliver security seminars and workshops to prospective and current clients on topics such as OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, threat modeling, and secure software reference architectures.

  • Participate in incident response with clients as a “trusted advisor.”

  • Create policies and govern cybersecurity for internally developed projects as part of an architectural governance practice.

  • Maintain up-to-date expertise on cybersecurity trends to act as a “trusted advisor” to internal stakeholders, specifically in the context of application security.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively with clients across all levels of their enterprise, including bridging the gap between development and infosec teams.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of information security experience

  • 10 years of experience in intrusion detection, analysis, and prevention

  • Experience in threat modeling, particularly using the MITRE ATT&CK framework

  • Expertise in cyber intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Expertise in network security

  • Experience in incident detection and response, including proactive and reactive measures

  • Strong communicator, able to communicate effectively and serve as a trusted advisor at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to drive consensus and change through influence and consensus instead of direct authority

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, including outstanding system design and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in information security in the financial services industry

  • Working knowledge of OpenID Connect and other CIAM approaches is ideal

The base salary range for this position is $109,749 - $164,623, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance.
