Job Summary

Supports NIWC personnel in the development of systems, supports the installation of new systems, supports data migration activities, and provides post-installation support.

Travel is required. 

Responsibilities and Duties

Provides engineering support to NIWC Atlantic. Engineering support will include configuring virtual machines and supporting the installation of new systems. Provides migration of data between server databases and migrates AMAG Symmetry Enterprise data between two servers. Conducts offsite Platform Integration Test and Check Out (PITCO) of all equipment to ensure proper working order prior to shipment to operational site. Prepares PITCO test reporting in accordance with the Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH).

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Candidate must have experience deploying and configuring virtual machines in a VMware vSphere environment. Candidate must have experience with migration of data between two Microsoft SQL server databases. Candidate must have experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting. Candidate must have experience with configuring Dell Storage Array Networks, Dell Servers, and Cisco Switches. Candidate must have experience with migration of AMAG Symmetry Enterprise data between two servers. Candidate must have experience with performing testing in accordance with the NAVWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH).

Candidate must have Fifteen (15) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C5ISR requirements. Recognized as an expert of task specific project. Note: Experience may be concurrent. 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science (Required) or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Preferred)

Certifications

CCNA or CCNP plus one of the following: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, DoD Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional
