The Opportunity

Responsible for coordinating and handling of the less complex RFPs, executes directions from PM and other SMEs. Contributes to the success of quality outputs and enforcing brand, written content and accuracy. Able to tailor resumes for appropriate subject matter. Ability to run queries, adept at using Content databases such as ProjectWise, and Salesforce. Drive best practice and timely responses with a diverse team of SMEs. Meet deadlines and drive schedule to achieve delivery requirementsFamiliar/usability with InDesign and PowerPoint.

The Team

Our Governments & Communities (G&C) business sector provides innovative solutions for integrated planning, design, engineering and construction support of critical infrastructure and facilities as well as resiliency and environmental services for clients worldwide. The G&C Sales & Pursuits team collaborates with business leaders and client-facing professionals to plan and execute strategies and develop comprehensive, dynamic and tailored proposal materials with focused messaging and content. Our team provides expertise in pursuit strategy and proposal management to help proposal teams enhance Black & Veatch's position as an industry leader and deliver new business.

US Hybrid - Must be willing to work MST/PST hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage activities during the development of RFP responses, including kick-off calls, content development, iterative reviews, document production

  • Manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously, staying connected with teams and keeping them engaged with deadlines

  • Research and gather proposal materials, including drafting non-technical content using boilerplate materials or prior proposals

  • Develop proposal layout and content using a robust InDesign template

  • Work with in-house graphic designers to create visual elements for proposals

  • Drive proposal progress to meet scheduled milestones and compliance with the RFP

  • Review, proofread and edit proposals for clarity and grammar

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred. InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PPT experience a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project or proposal coordination experience required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proactive

  • Organized

  • Able to manage concurrent deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Efficient proofreading and editing skills

  • Experience using Bluebeam

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years experience required

  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
