Job Description

Ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved by being the liaison for Quality

Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet goals and targets.

Focus on reducing scrap costs utilizing quality skills and problem-solving techniques.

Apply lean manufacturing concepts (BPS) to the value stream to support the product team.

Continuous Improvement Process, and Policy Deployment objectives.

Support the deployment 14 Quality Basics.

Knowledgeable to move inventory from PSA to MRB Cage in SAP P81

Experience of placing parts on quality hold in SAP

Utilize tools such as Shiftbook, Grafana, Tableau, SAP etc

Manage Quality Alert

Manage Quality Incidents

Manage MRB inventory

Promote a team environment that is focused "Charleston Drives Quality."

Interface with Engineering (Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers).

Perform additional assignments as directed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading production/quality teams and B.S. or A.S. degree preferred.

  • Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes and maintenance, preferably within the automotive industry.

  • Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to standards, policies and procedures.

  • Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead groups, and communicate effectively.

  • High level of teamwork, initiative, organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules.

  • Prior experience as a FLM or TSC (Temporary Shift Coordinator)
