Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the construction industry, based in Charleston, South Carolina. The role will be primarily focused on general ledger tasks but will also involve work in areas such as billing, payroll, and accounts payable. This position will be based onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively utilize accounting software systems for various tasks

• Responsible for executing various accounting functions including auditing

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations

• Oversee the billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Use Viewpoint Vista and Viewpoint Spectrum for various tasks

• Act as a backup for accounts payable operations when required

• Ensure that all customer credit applications are processed accurately and promptly

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records

• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.

Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.

• In-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proven expertise in Auditing.

• Ability to manage Billing Functions efficiently.

• Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista is essential.

• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum is a plus.
