Description Detail-oriented individuals will be interested in this opportunity to join the ranks of a successful company as an Accounts Payable Clerk. You will thrive in this Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position at a dynamic organization with a growing team, if you can match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Charleston, South Carolina area.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

• Produce full-cycle A/P

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

• Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time Requirements - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Coding Invoices experience

• Code Invoices experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Strong familiarity with Approved Invoices

• Excel Formulas experience preferred

• 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Highly organized and self-motivated
