Leidos Information Security Manager in Chantilly, Virginia

Description

Leidos seeks an Information Security Manager to support a northern Virginia customer on the Origin program. Candidate will be responsible for overall security program compliance, including serving as, and designating, contractor staff to serve as Information System Security Officer(s) for all Origin managed systems. Manager will lead team in accrediting all systems within the set timelines and working all continuous monitoring oversight and scanning as needed throughout each system’s lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Security Manager will interact with direct customers, ISSM reps, and any other customer POCs as required.

Manager will run a small team of ISSEs, SOC analysts and COMSEC custodians. Manager will report directly to the PM.

Team responsibilities are as follows: SOC will monitor all Origin systems from SIEM and respond to any anomalous behavior. COMSEC manages 2 accounts and in responsible for the inventory of approximately 700 pieces of COMSEC equipment. InfoSec ISSE staff responsible for A&A, vulnerability mitigation and continuous monitoring of all Origin systems.

Security Manager expected to brief A&A status of all systems at Origin PMR directly to customer. Will be required to purchase and renew any required licensing for scanning tools, SIEM, and monitoring environment as needed. Will also need to spearhead any customer security requests for user activity investigations.

  • As a condition of employment, this position requires the candidate pass both a customer required medical and psychological screening

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and 8+ years of experience or Masters and 6+ years of experience OR 12 years experience in lieu of degree

Must have a TS/SCI with poly to be considered

• Strong working knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to client/server engineering and systems administration

• A minimum of 10 years cumulative experience in an IT field discipline (client/server engineering, systems administration, systems engineering, software engineering etc.)

• Experience instituting a training plan in order to align the skills of the team with business needs

• Experience with programs deploying IT solutions

• Experience leading technical teams, including sub-contractors

• Experience in all phases of the systems development lifecycle

• Expertise in leading teams within a fast paced operational environment

• Demonstrated strong leadership skills

• Strong customer service approach

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Attention to detail in writing, reporting, and communicating

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS or equivalent professional experience and specialized education

• Technical certifications (e.g. MTA, MCSA, MCSE)

• ScrumMaster or other Agile certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
