As the CNC Machinist, you will perform the setup, operation, and tool adjustment for various types of manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment.

Location: Chanhassen, MN

Hours : 2nd Shift Shift Premium Available

Your Challenge:

• Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment ( mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores and other machining equipment) and using mathematical and geometrical calculations.

• Determine how to set up machines based on instructions received and perform minor repairs of equipment. Responsible for keeping work area clean and free from safety hazards and to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.

• Prove out CNC programs when required.

Your Expertise:

• 3-5 years of experience on CNC Machines including multi-axis lathes, mills and/or swiss machines.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Trade school degree in machining is preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• 2 nd shift Up to $31.25.hr + 7% shift premium for 2 nd shift hours Rough details below from notes with the hiring manager: Shop started out in 2000 CW took over 2012 Swiss set up and run for production parts *Swiss is most important Heavy lathe shop as well Citizens/ morsizi , fairly new machines Some are touch screen Trying to build out second shift again, previously closed out during covid Nee solid machinist, NOT operators Trouble shoot, get to know product line, change feeds, offsets Each machinist own quality and stamp their name on it that they have done all their quality checks Measuring parts and GD&T 2 nd shift hours 3-130 for second shift 4x a week OT optional Friday night 4-6 hr shifts, still come in at 3 and stay till 7 or 9 Programing - not requirement, but have to be able to set up, make offsets, and at least read program to understand what the codes mean Shop: clean, not super noisy, well lit

Pay Details: $23.00 to $34.00 per hour
