What you’ll do:

As a Senior PV Engineer, you will:

  • Work in a team to implement Array’s proprietary solar tracker optimization technology (SmarTrackTM) on solar power plants to fulfill customer orders, following an established process.

  • Manage and work on multiple SmarTrackTM implementation projects simultaneously.

  • Communicate regularly with customers and their affiliated parties to guide them through the SmarTrackTM implementation process, collect necessary information, and schedule activities.

  • Analyze and interpret solar site design drawings and other technical documents supplied by customers, translating them into a format with Array’s software for the implementation.

  • Perform energy gain analysis and prepare final reports for the sites, using existing PV performance modeling tools and writing own software when necessary.

  • Continuously improve the SmarTrackTM implementation process, to improve efficiency and human resource allocation. Update internal procedure documents accordingly.

  • Report work progress regularly to the Hiring Manager.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in solar industry or academia, in PV performance modeling or data analysis roles.

  • Expert knowledge of PV performance data analysis; Candidate will be subjected to a test in the interview process.

  • Proficient in programming in Python using pandas and pvlib libraries; Candidate will be subjected to a test in the interview process.

  • Knowledgeable in commercial PV modeling and simulation software.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office software on Windows OS.

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline; a master’s degree will count as 1 year of experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in using PlantPredict and PVsyst.

  • 1+ year of experience working for an independent engineering firm, working on solar projects.

  • Team player and fast learner.
