Amentum Cleanroom Building Maintenance Team Lead in Chandler, Arizona

The Cleanroom Building Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for the planning and completion of a wide variety of general and preventative maintenance and repair work in a high-tech factory cleanroom environment on our client site. The team lead is tasked with training all new members of the team and ensuring all existing members are competent and safe in their job performance. The lead acts as a single point of contact for both the site client and Amentum site management, as well as to their team members. Other duties include performing work in the repair and maintenance of cleanroom facilities as required of a cleanroom maintenance team member.

The Cleanroom Building Maintenance Technicians independently perform a broad spectrum of facilities and systems maintenance functions or may serve as a back-up to other craft workers on complex assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as content expert for Cleanroom Building Maintenance activities at client site, understanding and training others in how to safely perform work at the client site.

  • Assist team members with distribution of workload among team members.

  • Act as fist point of escalation for team members technical questions.

  • Provide planning and coordination of work within the factory environment to reduce impacts and ensure safety.

  • Perform inspections of factory areas to identify discrepancies and facilitate their repair.

  • Provide coordination of needed vendor support for certain repairs.

  • Perform repair of doors, flooring, ceiling, lighting, hard surfaces, walls, and fixtures.

  • Perform periodic collection of data like factory temperature and humidity levels.

  • Perform needed written and verbal communications with customers and factory and facilities management.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Maintains appropriate service repair work order records electronically.

  • Research and inventory equipment parts and supplies.

  • Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.

  • May assist in the training of other team members in facilities maintenance.

  • Assists and serves as back-up to other facilities and maintenance employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

  • Six years of experience maintaining buildings, facilities and/or equipment in an industrial environment; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1 year experience performing maintenance or construction activities within the current Cleanroom/Manufacturing environment.

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

  • Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

  • This position requires the employee to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
