NY1499785 Hydraulic Technician Level 2. Full time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week for Mohawk, Ltd. in Chadwicks, NY.

SUMMARY: Troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, cross check and refurbish for return to service, a wide variety of hydraulics equipment, using test equipment as required. Assist with training where required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Disassemble and Analyze Work: * Review paperwork and information on tab. * Prioritize repair relative to highest priority/date of receipt. * Disassemble and inspect work. * Ensure repair is consistent with quote, assist with new quote, if needed. * Follow procedure regarding quote Beyond Economical Repair, refer to inside sales if necessary. Order Parts: * Determine parts needed to complete work. * Complete requisition including part number and pricing, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely processing. * Deliver quotes to purchasing. Repair and Test Units: * Refurbish and repair units per specifications, replacing parts as necessary. * Provide technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, etc. * Reassemble unit and test to ensure unit is operational with specifications. Document Work: * Document work completed on computer system and daily time sheet. * Include work completed, time expended and procedure used. Retail Business: * Greet customers professionally and assist with questions regarding parts or equipment. * Provide services including making industrial and hydraulic hoses and brake lines and hoses for applications. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or the equivalent required. Technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience and 3 years prior related experience in mechanical or hydraulic required. Troubleshooting experience helpful. OTHER SKILLS: * Light manufacturing, telecommunications, cable or utility market experience a plus. * Manual dexterity and ability to read specs. * Soldering and welding experience a plus. * Problem solving and analytical skills. Must have basic computer skills. EQUIPMENT AND MACHINE KNOWLEDGE: * Mechanical/Hydraulic equipment repair machines. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist lower level technicians with troubleshooting and training. PAY: Starts at $20.00 per hour, more based on experience, plus benefits package.
