Street Maintenance Operator

Enjoy working with large equipment? The City of Chadron is currently looking for an energetic team member in the position of Full-time Street Maintenance Operator. This career opportunity will include a diverse assortment of responsibilities, including construction and repair maintenance of city streets, storm drainage facilities and systems as well as other public works improvement projects. An excellent position for those who enjoy being outdoors, having variety in their work, and are looking to provide well for a family.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, two years related experience, ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions, and a valid Nebraska Drivers License.

Special Requirements: A Class B CDL endorsement is preferred. Pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical and background check are required if a conditional offer is made.

The City of Chadron offers excellent benefits: $18.16 - 24.34/HR based on experience; sick leave, 40 hours of annual leave after 30 days, three personal leave days and nine paid holidays.
