Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Clean Energy Project Monitor-SMEs to join our team! In this role you will get to provide expert consulting, analysis, and support to the Government client(s) on critical complex issues, and provides facilitation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting Department of Energy customers to monitor clean energy projects, track project milestones, and technical targets against project objectives and standard project management approaches

  • Conducting and participating in project peer reviews to assess and analyze project performance

  • Compiling and submitting project reviews and summaries detailing major project milestones, issues/actions status, and compliance reports

  • Supporting Project closeout, including tracking and reviewing closeout documents, final technical reports, financial reports, and other supporting documents

  • Providing engineering, technical, and operational leadership support for active projects

  • Performing advanced technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed; recommending refined project requirements

  • Providing briefing/presentation support; document review/evaluation; program evaluation support; document preparation/meeting support.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Technical knowledge of current/available energy efficiency/renewable energy technology

  • Experience leading External Independent Reviews, Independent Cost Reviews, and Independent Cost Assessments in support of DOE

  • Knowledge of principles/practices/standards of public sector project/program management, including Earned Value Management

  • Project risk assessment

  • Quality Assurance review, assessment, and documentation

  • Project Commissioning

  • Research/analytical techniques; report writing skills including use/analysis of statistical information

  • Experience performing extremely difficult/high visibility tasks requiring application of new/original concepts

Education and Experience:

  • Subject Matter Expert Level 1:

  • PhD highly preferred however a BS and 14+ years experience or a MS and 12+ years expererience will work

  • Subject Matter Expert Level II:

  • PhD highly preferred however a BS and 21+ years experience or a MS and19+ years expererience will work

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Ability to conduct cost estimating /energy analysis for diverse energy technology proposals.

  • Knowledge working with DOE's standard Project Management standards, including holding a current PMP certificate.

  • Experience with concepts /implementation DOE Directive 413.3b, Program and Project Management for Acquisition of Capital Assets

  • Construction Management

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
