Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Transition Framework Development: Design and develop a comprehensive transition framework that encompasses all aspects of hybrid infrastructure migration, including assessment, planning, execution, testing, and post-migration support. This framework should be adaptable and scalable to accommodate various migration scenarios.
Strategy Definition: Define the overall transition strategy, outlining the phased approach, migration waves, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies. This includes defining success criteria and KPIs for the transition program.
Assessment and Planning: Lead the assessment of existing infrastructure, applications, and dependencies to determine migration feasibility, complexity, and potential challenges. Develop detailed migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
Architecture Design: Design the target hybrid infrastructure architecture, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and alignment with business requirements. This includes defining cloud connectivity, security considerations, and integration points.
Migration Execution: Oversee the execution of migration activities, coordinating with various teams, including infrastructure, application development, security, and operations. Ensure adherence to the defined migration plan and framework.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with the transition process and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues and roadblocks to ensure smooth execution.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with technology vendors to select appropriate migration tools and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the transition process, including architecture diagrams, migration plans, runbooks, and lessons learned.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the transition framework and identify areas for improvement. Incorporate lessons learned into future migration projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in IT infrastructure architecture, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments.
Proven experience in leading and executing complex IT infrastructure migrations, including data center consolidations and cloud migrations.
Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Expertise in various migration methodologies and tools.
PMP Certified.
Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Certifications in these platforms are a must.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with automation and scripting is a plus.

Knowledge of ITIL framework
Experience with specific industry regulations and compliance requirements.
