InvaGen Pharmaceuticals is a Cipla subsidiary engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of generic prescription medicines with focus on a range of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, anti-infective, CNS, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-depressants. The company was founded in 2003 and is based in Central Islip and Hauppauge, New York. In October 2020, InvaGen established its project site in Fall River, Massachusetts to support the launch of Cipla's respiratory business in the United States.

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

A. Inventory Analysis & accounting

Inventory roll forward exercise, reconciliation & valuation using Excel.

Prepare and maintain Material COGS reconciliation

Inventory analysis and accrual booking for slow / non-moving, near expiry, rejects and NRV.

Inventory Ageing analysis, monitoring and control

Inventory count & physical verification on periodic basis.

Preparation & analysis of schedules - provision movement, ageing, destruction and WIP

B. Inventory

Review existing controls around inventory and product costing and propose and implementing changes to eliminate control gaps.

Evaluation of PR and PO raised for souring API/RM/PM to rationalize stock availability.

Tracking procurement and consumption of excipients, stores and spares.

Ensuring timely GRN of goods and follow up with warehouse team on any delay.

C. Opex Evaluation

Operating expense evaluation at the time of PO or Invoice booking approval.

Looking over new operating expense proposal/ agreement and submitting pros and cons of proposal.

Physical verification of services taken by users, to approve service invoices.

D. Product Costing

Manage Product costing sheet for all the products with live update of cost data.

Regularly reviewing & updating the costing information including recipe and cycle time to ensure availability of up-to-date product costing at any point of time.

Gathering recipe information for new product or SKUs & prepare costing for same.

Computation of Key activity rates for overheads costing & inventory valuation per policy

Periodic review & revaluation of key activity rates and executing quarterly costing runs in SAP

E. Monthly Performance Analysis, MIS, Audit and SAP support

SAP SPOC from Finance side to test and execute all SAP development

Support all financial audits and point of contact for inventory, fixed assets, sales and AR.

Preparation of Monthly plant performance report - production, KPIs and financial metrics.

Support monthly and year end books closing & financial Statement finalization

Preparation and analysis of reports and schedules for audit and analysis

Assist in Annual Budget preparation & compilation

F. Accounts Receivable

Ensure timely and accurate knocking off customer payments with open invoices

Follow-up on third payment, ensuring that overdue invoices are timely

Prepare AR Aging and sales schedules and ensure timely profit share booking

Education Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of quality work experience preferably in manufacturing set-up/plant-based role.

Skills/ Competencies

  • Strong technical background and knowledge base of all aspects of GAAP.
  • Solid written and verbal communication, analytical and management skills.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with various levels of management including division managers and senior corporate personnel.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting at a desk and/or working at a computer or other "screen" 75% or greater of an 8-hour period.
