Summary: The Engineering Manager will execute the vision and strategy set forth by the Director and Operations organization. Will align and deploy resources effectively to achieve goals; ensure products of the highest quality are produced utilizing safe, compliant, efficient, and effective processes; continuously identify process improvements; evaluate technology and resources necessary to achieve goals; and serve as a role model for company values and culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and execute team goals in support of department goals. Manage corporate and department projects, and lead initiatives in support of operations and continuous improvement. Develop, track, trend and report metrics related to production. Identify, manage, execute and resource continuous improvement and cost saving projects. Manage workload for the team through staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning of personnel/resources. Develop the team while building organization bench-strength. Support new product development in all stages by providing resources, completing required deliverables and providing technical guidance. Work with Project Management to manage projects effectively and within established time parameters. Review department budget and spending with Director/Department Head. Provide technical guidance and support to engineering team. Manage and own controlled documents as necessary. Approve controlled documentation. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies. Enhance and foster relationships with other teams.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering 5-7 years' experience in Engineering/technical functions (e.g. manufacturing processes, design, sustaining engineering, validation, technical service) 3-5 years' experience managing technical personnel. 4 years managing/leading projects 2+ years' experience in a cGMP environment. Working knowledge of design controls and validations Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience:

Industrial or Automation Engineering
