What YOU will do:

• Lead the engineering efforts for Avionics product development, coordinating the integration of hardware, software, and firmware to meet project commitments.

• Provide project management and technical guidance through all phases of the program, from initial pursuit and bidding to final execution and sustainment.

• Maintain strict adherence to Collins Aerospace's technical and engineering processes, ensuring all program and product requirements are met.

• Guide a diverse team of engineers, from newcomers to seasoned experts, fostering innovation and technical excellence.

• Oversee the transition of developed products into manufacturing, implementing strategies to maximize cost efficiency and product impact.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proven experience in leading large-scale engineering projects within the aerospace industry.

• Strong project management skills, including experience with earned value management, risk management, and customer interactions.

• Technical proficiency in developing avionics systems and familiarity with regulatory and certification processes such as TSO, MIL-STD, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C, DO-297, APR4754A.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
