Tier I SEBH Leader works collaboratively with the building administration and teaching staff to create, facilitate, and evaluate the system for addressing social emotional behavioral health needs of students in a coordinated, systematic multi-tiered system of support. The MTSS Tier I SEBH Leader works collaboratively with the Cedar Rapids Community School District Teacher Leadership Team, District Administration, and teaching staff to support teachers and assure that we deliver on the District Vision of Every Learner: Future Ready.
Amount of Teacher Leader Service:
Additional time outside of the contract day accompanies this position

Compensation:
$500.00 annually
Job requirements
Reflective, growth-oriented, seeks and acts upon feedback, and willingness to be coached
Deepen and maintain own knowledge of equity principles and culturally responsible pedagogy to identify and address inequitable practices and engage teachers in using an equity lens to reflect on their practice
Knowledge of or the willingness to become knowledgeable in the High Reliability Schools framework
Knowledge and experiencing implementing a multi-tiered system of support.
A commitment to supporting the growth of others and the belief that adult learning is essential to student learning.
Previous experience in leadership positions desired, such as PLC Leader, Team Leader, or Department Chair preferred.
Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Ability to design, present, and facilitate adult learning experiences preferred
Knowledge of Professional Learning Community process and protocol
Knowledge and experience with research-based strategies within digital literacy.
Standard Teaching License with three years of teaching experience with at least one year of experience in the Cedar Rapids Community School District preferred (extra duty positions)
Essential Job Elements:
Provides direction and leadership for the program consistent with the District vision, mission, and focus.
Works collaboratively with members of the building Tier I Team and building staff to create, communicate and carry out the goals and action steps of MTSS.
Works collaboratively with members of the building Tier I Team and building administration to monitor and evaluate the implementation of MTSS including, but not limited to, Core SEBH curriculum and resources.
Works collaboratively with members of the building Tier I Team and building staff to provide professional learning to all teachers and/or PLC teams of teachers at the building level to carry out the goals and action steps of MTSS.
Works collaboratively with the building and district staff to ensure a safe, supportive, and collaborative culture.
Engages in regular district professional learning opportunities to build capacity for leading and supporting the school’s MTSS system.
Measures of Effectiveness and Professional Growth:
All Teacher Leader Positions will be evaluated annually in an effort to provide opportunities for the teacher to reflect upon his/her practice and administration to provide feedback to enhance professional growth.
CRCSD evaluation procedure will be used.
TLS rubric identifying levels of development will be used to monitor growth and determine if the teacher leader is performing at a satisfactory level to continue in the teacher leader role.

The position requires the commitment of professional working hours that may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. workday.
