Job Title: Form Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking skilled concrete form carpenters who have experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the formwork requirements. The ideal candidate will measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials such as wood, metal, and plastic, and install formwork for various concrete structures including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs. Ensuring that formwork is properly aligned, leveled, and secured is crucial. Additionally, you will pour, spread, and smooth concrete within the formwork, remove formwork once the concrete has set and cured, and inspect and repair formwork as needed. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site is a must.

Pay / Location/ Schedule

• $20-25 depending on experience

• Castroville, TX

• When pouring concrete, you may be onsite as early as 4AM but on days that they are not pouring, typical schedule is M-F 7A-5PM and Saturday, 7-2PM. Typically 58-60 hrs a week.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the formwork requirements.

• Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.

• Install formwork for various concrete structures including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.

• Ensure that formwork is properly aligned, leveled, and secured.

• Pour, spread, and smooth concrete within the formwork.

• Remove formwork once the concrete has set and cured.

• Inspect and repair formwork as needed.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site.

Essential Skills

• Experience with concrete formwork.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials.

• Experience with installing formwork for various concrete structures.

• Skilled in ensuring formwork is aligned, leveled, and secured.

• Concrete pouring, spreading, and smoothing skills.

• Experience in inspecting and repairing formwork.

• Adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
