Want to join something GREAT and make a difference? The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Fleet Services Division. This position supports DNR's programs by ensuring the agency's fleet of vehicles and equipment are ready to work and safe to operate. This position serves as a journey-level mechanic performing service, maintenance, and repair to light automotive, medium, commercial/industrial, small engine, marine, and heavy-duty equipment based at the Castle Rock equipment shop.

Responsibilities:

• Provide regular service and repairs to DNR and other agency fleet vehicles
• Work with a team of Equipment Technicians, ensuring quality and time standards are upheld
• Be available to work outside the shop in the field and out of a service truck
• Attend and provide input and training at monthly safety meetings
• Ensure safety protocols are adhered to at all times

*Required Qualifications: *

• High School education.
• 5 years of experience working with fleets, including automotive, agricultural, heavy trucks, or heavy equipment.
• 1 year of experience working with small engines and marine applications.
• Ability to operate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. 
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written. 
• Ability to operate fleet management software.* *
