Position: Equipment Manager

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: Casper, Wy

Overview:

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in Casper, WY seeking an experienced and highly skilled Equipment Manager to join our team. The Equipment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of shop operations and heavy equipment mechanics, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance, operation, and availability of approximately 300 pieces of equipment, including semis, trailers, rollers, pavers, loaders, and regular crew trucks. This role demands strong leadership, technical troubleshooting abilities, and excellent organizational and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Management: Oversee the shop and heavy equipment mechanics, ensuring all equipment maintenance and operations are conducted efficiently and according to company standards.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Lead and manage the 360 preventative maintenance program for a diverse fleet of equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.

  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and check pricing from vendors, ensuring competitive rates and cost-effective procurement of parts and services.

  • Billing and Inventory: Review billing from vendors, manage inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of all equipment-related transactions.

  • Equipment Tracking: Implement and maintain tracking systems for all equipment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all equipment and maintenance procedures comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and support to shop and heavy equipment mechanics, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on equipment status, maintenance schedules, costs, and other relevant metrics for upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in equipment management or a similar role, with a strong background in managing heavy equipment and shop operations.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of various heavy machinery, including semis, trailers, rollers, pavers, loaders, and trucks.

  • Proficiency in running 360 preventative maintenance programs and other relevant equipment management tools.

  • Excellent vendor management skills, with experience in checking pricing, managing billing, and maintaining inventory.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee and motivate a team of shop and heavy equipment mechanics.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and compliance.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, equipment management software, and inventory tracking systems.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report effectively to upper management.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
