As part of the spatial and graph team, you will focus on developing the graph technologies component of the Autonomous Database, which allows customers to discover new insights into their data by leveraging powerful graph technologies invented by Oracle Labs – Oracle’s only organization dedicated only to research – such as Data Studio, Property Graph Query Language (PGQL) and Parallel Graph AnalytiX (PGX).

  • You would work as a Full Stack Java Developer on Oracle Graph solutions developed and running on Oracle Cloud.

  • You should be a strong Java developer with ability to dig deeper into any part of the stack. In depth understanding of the fundamentals of distributed systems is a must.

  • Your work will require you to interact with cross functional teams and co-operate with people working in different areas of the stack.

  • You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders in understanding the requirements and work on delivering user stories/backlog items with highest levels of quality and consistency across the product.

  • Work with geographically dispersed team of engineers by taking complete ownership and accountability to see the project through for completion.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in Applications or product development.

  • Demonstrable Computer science fundamentals, object-oriented design, and Java programming

  • Work in an Agile devops continuous delivery deployment environment with geographically distributed teams is highly desired.

  • Strong full stack Programming experience in Java, Java Script, Oracle RDBMS is highly desired

  • Excellent coding, debugging, performance tuning and testing skills in one or more of the following: Core Java / J2EE, SpringBoot, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture.

  • Web GUI development Tools/Frameworks experience (OJet, Angular, react ) is desirable.

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with proven success in contributing in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Self–motivated and self-driven, continuously learning and capable of working independently.

  • BS/MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
