Summary

The Work Management Coordinator T&D is responsible for assessing and providing oversight of weekly schedules and coordinating the logical progression of work activities and work order readiness from identification through execution and closeout. Interfaces with multi departments to prioritize scheduled activities, provide resource support oversight, implement assessment corrective actions, and develop and implement work management procedures. This position reports to the Southern Arizona Director located in Casa Grande and supports the following service centers: Parker, Yuma, Buckeye (HUBWEST), Casa Grande, Globe, and Douglas. The position requires travel 50% of the time, mileage reimbursement available.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years experience in T&D Operations, Maintenance, or Planning. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience totaling twelve (12) years experience in T&D Operations, Maintenance, or Planning in the area supported. Comparable equivalent industry will be considered (e.g., construction, engineering, manufacturing).

  • Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: Strong verbal communication, project management skills, and strong proficiency in Maximo or similar work management applications. Ability to work effectively in matrixed teams to accomplish business results across multiple departments.

  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration. PowerBI and Data Analytics experience. Formal leadership or project leadership.

Major Accountabilities

1) Acts as management's single point of contact to oversee and drive problem resolutions to help ensure adherence and performance to work management metrics (e.g., Schedule Adherence, Labor Availability).

2) Analyze work management and materials data to identify backlog and criticality issues and make or recommend adjustments. Review dock scheduling and staffing/crew models to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

3) Prioritizes scope and timing of on-going and break-in (emergent) work and assesses scheduling impacts. Provides recommendations as changes occur based on data analytics. Supports optimization of personnel and material/equipment resources.

4) Oversees the final development, coordination and implementation of work management procedures across specific areas of responsibilities. Utilizes the Self-Assessment Process and technical knowledge to identify specific work plan deficiency(s) and/or inconsistencies and make recommendations to correct or improve.

5) Uses Maximo (work management and materials system) and associated software in the development and implementation of metrics in accordance with the work management process.

6) Reviews all scheduled work for work order readiness, and assesses completed work to identify continuous improvement opportunities and make recommendations for changes to process or procedures. Ensures best work management Practices are addressed and included as part of the work package review.

7) Provides data analytics to support manager and director reporting, identification of trends, implementation of business initiatives, or financial and resource models.

8) Leads or participates in various peer groups to review project rollouts, ensure consistent application of work management practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.

9) Acts as the change agent for changes that affect teams within area of responsibility including IT testing, communication, training and one on one onboarding and coaching. Leads or supports change management efforts to support changes in procedures and processes related to project execution and implementation. Develops and delivers training materials and tools.

10) Provides back up planner support as needed.

Flex Role:

This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work, but the ultimate decision is the company's. Employees will have two options to choose from:

  • APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.

  • Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.

    *Employee in Flex role are required to reside within a reasonable distance of Buckeye or Casa Grande, Arizona. Role types are subject to change based on business need.
