The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the management of plant equipment and facilities to ensure their proper operation and maintenance. The Plant Engineer works closely with Operations and Maintenance to make improvements in the plant. Other responsibilities include providing support to the Operations and Maintenance teams when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops improves and supports manufacturing/operations including manufacturing tools, machinery, and processes to achieve greater quality, productivity, and cost savings. Design, build and/or contract out document fixtures and tools and resolve equipment issues.

{=html} <!-- --> 1. Plan, oversee and coordinate activities regarding the development, design, construction, modification and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Establish standards and policies for installation, modifications, testing, operating procedures, inspection and maintenance of equipment according to applicable engineering principles and safety regulations. 2. Visually inspects equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustments or lubrication.

{=html} <!-- --> 1. Develops and maintains knowledge of various topics and applications to recommend and implement new programs and concepts. 2. Writes requisitions/purchase orders for services and equipment needs. 3. Manage and support capital equipment/development projects, including project scoping and initiation, research, planning, and implementation including accurate projected completion times. 4. Provide engineering support to the Operations and Maintenance Departments. 5. Perform Root Cause Analysis by applying industry recognized techniques. 6. Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Strong understanding of industrial machinery and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
2. Ability to create layouts, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings with ACAD software, experience in Inventor or Solidworks is a plus.
3. PLC knowledge or electrical ladder/logic circuits.
4. CAD skills with a good understanding of dimensioning & tolerancing
5. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor\'s Degree in an Engineering discipline.
2. At least 5 years of experience in an engineering/maintenance environment involving manufacturing.
