2nd Shift Changeover Lead

Frito-Lay is seeking inclusive and committed Changeover Leads who will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing and packaging equipment that produces the products you already know and love. Although you will start with Frito-Lay, this job can open the door to career opportunities with our parent company, PepsiCo. Your job will be to ensure that our customers continue to trust us when it comes to food safety.

As a Changeover Lead, your work schedule will be 40 to 50 hours per week. Work hours can be extended if a changeover has not been completed or if it has been rescheduled. As a Changeover Lead, you can expect to work on your feet the entirety of your shift near heavy machinery in a loud manufacturing environment. We wear the proper protective gear and we squeeze, crawl, and climb wherever we need to go to make sure a job is done correctly. Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities are also large. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature is limited. Indoor manufacturing working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.

Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you can expect to perform during a typical workday:\ * Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the equipment in the processing and packaging areas during change overs; including but not limited to weighers, Slide gates, incline belts, conveyors, and beams.\ * Assist changeover inspections.\ * Changeover Team will be required to cross train on cleaning all the different equipment in packaging and processing.\ * Change over team members are expected to attend and participate in team meetings. Engagement in the business is required.\ * Train and lead team members in proper changeover practices.\ * Understand bag quality and be able to complete quality audits and sorting.\ * Understand a production schedule. .\ * Ability to safely work and understand the use of chemicals.\ * Ability to communicate effectively to site leaders, team members, and all personnel assigned to changeovers.\ * Assist in any other duties as assigned by a Supervisor\ * Complete Food Safety Inspections and input work orders.\ * Ensure the cleanliness and housekeeping of the floor.\ * Ensure quality and Food Safety standards to prevent food safety issues.\ * Be able to handle conflict and difficult situations and balance competing priorities.\ * Be consumer focused and work well with others.\ * Maintain high levels of document completion, control and record keeping practices.

Whether you are experienced or not, please be sure you meet the following minimum requirements before starting your application:\ * You are 18 years of age or older.\ * You will be required to work on some weekends, holidays as well as off shift.\ * You can climb, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.\ * You are willing to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the plant.\ * You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
