Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on assignments that are moderately complex, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. The role typically does not require instruction for routine tasks but will receive general instructions for new assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.

• Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successfully serve the patient.

• Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.

• Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarifications, missing information, or patient concerns to ensure all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for further processing.

• Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of the referral.

• Enter new provider information (e.g., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

• 1+ years of pharmacy operation experience

• CPhT (national certification)

• NC Registered (NCBOP)

• Data entry

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 25 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cary, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Call center environment. The role will be onsite Monday-Friday. If the candidate goes permanent, the schedule will be hybrid.
