TEKsystems has a new and exciting Reimbursement Specialist opportunity in Cary, North Carolina!
Job Description:
The Reimbursement Specialist is an important role in the Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls to primary providers and insurance to process claims and resolve any healthcare billing issues. The ideal candidate is a well-spoken, enthusiastic, and organized person with the ability to provide high level of customer service to our patients, clinicians, and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs healthcare information & medical claims processing, healthcare billing & collection services, & provides financial guidance regarding hospital, HMO, clinical services to patients, their families & third-party representatives.
Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility coverage for drug benefits.
Function as a liaison between special drug program patients & their insurance companies.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or GED with minimum of associate degree preferred.
Candidate should have 1+ years experience of the following):
Claims Processing (Pharmacy)
Reimbursement (Pharmacy)
Customer Service Call Center
At least 1 year of Pharmacy Experience or working with Health Insurance but not required.
Experience with Benefits Investigation, Copay Assistance, Prior Authorization, Claims Adjudication is also a plus but not required.
