How you’ll make an Impact:

  • The Supervisor I of Travel and Expense will oversee the T&E function supported by the Costa Rica team.

  • Supervise employees performing travel and reimbursement activities and ensure staff is appropriately trained.

  • Provide complex account reimbursement (travel/meeting expense) support including audit complex travel and expense reports for employees and provide tutorial/training on the expense reimbursement tool (Concur).

  • Ensure the accuracy/completeness of the T&E accruals or any other reporting tasks to support the overall objectives of the department.

  • Create/update process flows, policies and procedures, training materials for the assigned areas with general supervision.

  • Participate in account reimbursement projects by analyzing data, participating in testing of the solution, making recommendations to support the overall objectives of the department or company-wide strategic initiatives.

  • Resolve complex issues related to account reimbursement by collaborating with other departments or suppliers.

  • Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership; Participate internal and external audit requests

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in related field, with previous experience in travel and expense reimbursement including demonstrated track record in supervising staff Preferred

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Experience working in a medical device and/or manufacturing industry Preferred

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (JDE preferred) including Excel and working knowledge of Concur system preferred

  • Day to day Management of Multiple Credit Card Programs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives, as well as mediating and negotiating the needs of other areas to achieve consensus strongly preferred

  • Full understanding of procedures as it relates to assigned area of accounts payable including in-depth knowledge of assigned area of responsibility, including processes used across areas of responsibility

  • Ability to analyze and identify potential adjustments to improve efficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and local language

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Participate on cross-functional teams for the development of cohesive operations.

  • May represent the organization to outside contacts (e.g., vendors, suppliers, contractors, staffing agencies)

Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Travel (day and overnight by car, air, train, etc.) will vary. Percentage of time is determined by Management
