Job Description

Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft interiors using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards. This job reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager.

Complementary Description

• Provides verbal and written status of inspection progress

• Performs complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment

• Keeps assigned areas organized and clean in accordance to required standards such as but not limited to 5S

• Ability to read and comprehend written process specification documents

• Participates and supports any regular organized team meetings, such as but not limited to QRQC, morning stand-up, etc.

• Provides on-the-job training in quality inspection and test methods to other employees per Supervisor direction

• Ability to utilize ERP system for daily transactions such as but not limited to recording labor hours, closing operations, etc.

• Ability to utilize electronic systems to access engineering documents, work instructions, etc. as needed

• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and work instructions

• Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Environment, Health & Safety requirements

• Support continuous improvement activities such as but not limited to shadow board tools, re-layout area, etc.

• Perform preventative maintenance as directed on tools, tooling and test equipment

• Ability to support other operations areas as needed and directed by Supervisors and/or Managers

• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: 4-7 years.

• Computer Skill: Familiar with Windows Operating System®. Basic skills with Microsoft office systems.

• Ability to effectively use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and take initiative

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes

• Ability to read, comprehend written and process specification documents

• Identify problems with some solving capabilities.

• Must possess ability to use precision measuring instruments.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred.
